Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
You will join one of our teams within Manufacturing Operations, which is responsible for the production of superconducting magnets that are installed in MRI and Medical Imaging machines
You will gain experience across all areas of production but will develop specialist skills and knowledge within one area over the four years
You will report to one of our Cell Leaders and your training will be supervised by a qualified assessor
Training:
Over the four years you will be working towards the Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard, which is delivered in partnership with BMet
Training will be in the form of block release to college in the first year, followed by day release for the second & third year
During years 2 & 3 you will also gain onsite manufacturing experience
We will familiarise you with our site and operations prior to you starting college in year 1
Training Outcome:
Depending on business requirements and the performance of the individual, there are opportunities to progress to NVQ Level 3 qualification and beyond, including Higher Education
The intention would be that upon successful completion of the apprenticeship you would take up a role within our Manufacturing Operations team
