Grinder – Yeovil – £29.31per hour – NIGHT SHIFT   This Grinder position involves producing high-spec aerospace parts using internal, external, surface, and thread grinding machines. As a Grinder, you will work to exact drawings and process layouts, ensuring every component meets strict customer and regulatory standards. This Grinder role also requires full BPSS security clearance due to the nature of the work.   Key responsibilities of the Grinder include: - Operating MDI CNC grinders for internal and external grinding - Completing surface and thread grinding to aerospace specifications - Carrying out Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) checks and stamping - Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and route cards - Delivering work on time and to the required quality standard - Working effectively within a lean manufacturing environment   Essential skills for this Grinder role: - Experience in precision grinding within a machining environment - Understanding of tight tolerances, surface finishes, and concentricity - Confident use of micrometers, comparators, air gauges, and finish measuring tools - Strong Health & Safety awareness and process compliance - Ability to work to targets in a customer-focused setting - Full BPSS clearance, including Right to Work, DBS, and drugs screening   Desirable experience: - Engineering apprenticeship or time-served background - Honing experience - Aerospace machining or inspection experience   Benefits: - Permanent night shift after training period - Paid training and ongoing skills development - Secure role within a high-precision manufacturing environment   If you’re an experienced Grinder who wants to be part of a business that values precision, people, and progress, get in touch.
