Sheet Metal Apprentice
As a Sheet Metal Apprentice at Concept Metal Products, you will learn and develop the practical skills and technical knowledge required for a career in metal fabrication. You will be supported to work across a range of sheet metal processes and workshop operations while building your competence in industry-standard practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with preparation and fabrication of sheet metal components Supporting laser cutting, bending, shearing and punching operations Learning to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Using hand tools and machinery under supervision Assisting with welding, assembly and fabrication processes Maintaining workshop cleanliness and adherence to health & safety standards Recording work completed, materials used and job progress as required Attending off-the-job training through Rochdale Training Association to develop skills and complete apprenticeship theoryThis role will give you exposure to all aspects of sheet metal fabrication in a busy workshop, allowing you to build competence in practical techniques and industry best-practice.
Training:
Metal Fabricator level 3 Off-the-job training delivered by Rochdale Training Association in combination with workplace learning
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a permanent Metal Fabricator or Workshop Technician role, or further training in specialised areas of fabrication, CAD programming or production planning within Concept Metal Products.
