Purchase Ledger Apprentice

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes Obtain invoice approvals in line with company policy Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner Prepare and process supplier payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all purchase ledger transactions Assist with month-end closing procedures including accruals and reporting Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries promptly Maintain compliance with internal financial controls and procedures Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information

Training:

Your programme will be delivered at PTP’s Walsall centre, with the following structure:

Every two weeks, you will attend PTP’s Walsall centre During these sessions, new topics will be taught by your tutor

Introduction to Bookkeeping Principles of Bookkeeping Controls Principles of Costing The Business Environment

The module The Business Environment will be assessed as part of the EPA.

Possible progression into a full time position.
