Gardening Apprentice - Level 2 Horticultural Operative

Please note this position covers the horticulture not the landscape option for the apprenticeship. Carry out practical work through the seasons in all weather Learn how to use appropriate techniques, tools and machinery to cultivate, establish and care for plants all year round Work safely and learn how to maintain tools and machinery Increase plant knowledge, learn how to identify pests and diseases, and develop schedules to plan year-round garden maintenance Use your creativity to design new planting projects and seasonal bedding schemes

Training Outcome:

After the completion of the Level 2 apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress to the Level 3 Horticulture Supervisor apprenticeship. 



Employer Description:

Hawthorn Horticulture is a small company providing a wide range of expert horticultural services to private gardens in west Wiltshire and beyond. 

The successful candidate will work alongside a knowledgeable head gardener at a number of beautiful private gardens in the area. 

We visit a small selection of gardens in the Corsham locality on a weekly basis, as well as carrying out seasonally-appropriate jobs at other locations around the county.

Our focus is on always providing an excellent level of service to our clients, carrying out tasks to a high standard, and combining expert horticultural knowledge with a genuine passion for gardening



Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.
