Job Description:

A well-established international company is seeking a Trainee Compressed Gasses Fitter to join their skilled team. Known for delivering excellence in the aerospace and defence industries, this company operates across multiple sites in the UK, providing vital maintenance and repair services for aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities:

Disassemble valve and cylinder assemblies for inspection and maintenanceReplace defective parts and reassemble components for testingPerform hydrostatic testing of cylinders in line with Department of Transport standardsCharge assembled cylinders up to pressures of 4500 PSIEnsure accurate documentation and compliance with quality and safety regulationsProvide additional support to the safety inflatable team as needed

Experience & Qualifications:

Engineering/workshop experienceFamiliarity with oxygen systems, cylinder charging, and valve overhaul is advantageousAbility to interpret and follow compliance manuals (essential)Minimum GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
