We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to take a lead commercial role across residential construction projects. This is a permanent position offering responsibility over high-value MEP packages and involvement in commercial decision-making from early stages through to final account.
Location: Central London Salary: £80,000 to £100,000 per annum Hours: 8:00 - 17:00 / 8:00 - 16:00 Project Value: MEP packages up to £17 million Start: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the commercial management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages on residential projects
Preparing and overseeing project budgets, cost plans, and procurement strategies for M&E works
Taking ownership of cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial risk management
Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract administration
Reviewing and approving subcontractor applications, variations, and final accounts
Liaising closely with site teams to monitor progress, productivity, and cost performance
Providing commercial guidance and support to project and site management teams
Managing change control processes and ensuring all commercial impacts are captured accurately
Supporting the commercial close-out of projects and agreeing final accounts
Contributing to best practice, cost control procedures, and commercial improvements across projects
Requirements:
Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level within M&E or building services
Strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on residential projects
Confident managing high-value packages and taking commercial ownership of projects
Strong negotiation, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
