Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship - Steeple Aston Pre-School

As a level 3 apprentice you will be a key member of the nursery team, your daily activities may include:

Planning and implementing fun and educational activities with the children  Play alongside and with children to support their play Supporting children’s creative and imaginative experiences  Maintaining development records on key children  Supervising children at rest times and at mealtimes  Contributing to and promoting health and safety  Ensuring the play area is clean and tidy at all times  Working closely with parents and providing feedback on their child

This position would suit a candidate with a bubbly, outgoing personality who is able to work on their own initiative and is prepared to commit to the work required for an apprenticeship.



Training:

Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Level 3 Early Years Educator Diploma End-Point Assessment (EPA) On the job training

Training Outcome:

Progression to a higher level qualification or full time employment may be available after completion of the apprenticeship.



Employer Description:
Situated in the quiet, rural village of Steeple Aston their purpose-built Victorian school has been modernised and extended for the exclusive use of pre-school children. Steeple Aston pre School are a voluntary pre-school with charity status, run by a committee made up of volunteer parents and staff, encouraging parental involvement in the pre-school. They are inspected and approved by the LEA, Social Services and OFSTED. Staff work hard to ensure a safe and supportive environment where children are stimulated and interested in the wide range of activities. Children are encouraged to solve problems through experimentation, trial and error. At the preschool children learn there is more than one way to achieve a goal, and the process is as important as the result. The setting has outstanding procedures for managing times of transition, such as settling children into the pre-school.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, Term-time only. 3 days per week to start. Times to be confirmed.
