V05202 - Advanced Apprentice Electrician

Working from planned drawings to install, terminate and test all electrical equipment within a Submarine environment. Develop competence in the fabrication and fitting of a variety of cable supports, penetrations and the installation of electrical equipment using different types of resilience mounts. Crimping and termination are an important part of this role, where attention to detail and the ability to produce defect-free work are essential. Opportunity to work on a variety of electrical systems e.g. lighting, fire detection and communication systems. Use a variety of hand tools, specialist components and equipment in nuclear reactors and service electrical testing environments.

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Training Outcome:
