Apprentice Stonemason

Duties will inclide:

Practical Workshop Tasks – Learning to use traditional hand tools, practicing measuring, marking out and cutting stone to precise dimensions, dressing and finishing stone surfaces. Work closely with skilled masons and mentors. Be involved in real projects that contribute to meaningful builds. Follow all Health & Safety rules and regulations.

Training:

You will need to attend college one day per week, term time only at our Somer Valley Campus, in Radstock. You'll be working towards a Level 2 Stonemason apprenticeship, including Functional Skills in English and maths if required.

Training Outcome:

Following passing the apprenticeship – the stonemason would then be considered for a permanent stonemasonry position at Meister Masonry.

Working Hours :
Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 5:00pm Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm
