Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management Degree Apprentice

Working closely with senior and project quantity surveyors and other project delivery staff
Ensuring timely applications for payment, collection of cash and monitoring debtors
Monitoring and challenge of project costs and comparison with allowances
Producing and assisting with robust and thorough project forecasts
Undertaking and assisting with monthly project cost/value reporting and presenting commercial performance to senior quantity surveyors
Dealing with project change management and pricing of variations
Effective supply chain procurement, management and administration
Monitoring and ensuring best practice commercial site functions including appropriate record keeping and reporting regimes
Assist with and utilise client software systems to manage and run all elements of live schemes
Assist wider members of the management team and actively contribute in the population of scheme programmes
Training:
Chartered Surveyor (degree) Level 6.
Time will be split between one day per week at the university and 4 days working within the business across sites in South West England.
Once recruited into the business, you will be part of a wider cohort of Degree Apprentices from across the whole Renew Group. As a member of this cohort you will be provided with a set of core skills and competencies which translate across all Group businesses. You will also benefit from being able to network with all of your cohort members, building breadth into your development experience.
Training Outcome:
Successful completion of the End Point Assessment of this apprenticeship shows you satisfy the requirements for chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). You'll achieve a BSc(Hons) Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management degree.
At this stage, you'll have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to work competently as a Chartered Surveyor. You'll be able to apply your new expertise and skills directly to your workplace, taking you to the next stage of your professional career.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:30 with half an hour unpaid lunch break.
