Following appropriate policies, procedures and systems ensures the educational, social, physical, emotional, health and welfare needs of the children are always met. To become involved in children’s activities to stimulate and extend their learning. To demonstrate sensitivity toward children and families within the facility. Assisting in the admission and induction of new children. Assisting in the maintenance of all necessary records to meet internal, E.Y.D.C.P and Ofsted requirements. To take an active role in the promotion of excellent health and safety practices. To respond effectively to any health and safety issues that may arise and report any necessary matters. To participate in training and meetings as requested by the management team. Performing any other duties commensurate with the general nature of the position requested by the management team.

Training Outcome:
For the successful candidate, there is the opportunity of ongoing employment and progression onto the Early Years Educator Level 3 

Employer Description:
1st Stepping Stones Nursery provides full day care for children on a full-time or part-time basis. We are open from Monday to Friday and operate across two sites in Walthamstow E17. One is located in Upper Walthamstow, Forest Rise, just a short walk from Wood Street Station, and the other is on Coleridge Road, a ten-minute walk from Walthamstow Station. Our rooms are carefully designed, well laid out and resourced to meet the needs of individual children. We have sections for each of the seven areas of learning to promote learning and development. The outdoor area is designed to enhance and stimulate children’s development offering learning opportunities across all areas of the curriculum. 1st Stepping Stones Nursery runs a holiday club during all school holidays. Activities and outings are planned for children to meet their interest and children play an important role in this planning. Each child has an ‘Achievement Book’ where they can write about the activities they have participated in. The ‘Achievement Book’ is shared with parent/carers at the end of every holiday period. Places in the holiday club are limited and can be booked termly. The provision is registered on the Early Years Register and both the compulsory and voluntary parts of the Childcare Register.

Monday to Friday - shifts to be confirmed.
