Apprentice Nursery Practitioner at Ashfield House Nursery
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in providing high-quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Support the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote learning and development. Create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children feel secure and valued. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development, including promoting positive behaviour. Ensure health and safety, safeguarding, and hygiene standards are consistently met. Engage in training and development opportunities, including 6 hours of paid time per week to focus on apprenticeship studies. Assist in daily routines such as mealtimes, nappy changing, and sleep times. Work closely with senior staff to observe and assess children’s progress. Maintain accurate records and contribute to children’s learning journals.Who We Are Looking For

Training by day release at Shipley College on a Tuesday including regular assessor workplace visits to support the training.
Training Outcome:
On a successful completion of this apprenticeship the apprentice can progress to Early years Educator. With additional experience, an Early Years Educator can become the manager of an early years setting.

Working Hours :
Everyday we are open from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks a year. At interview please discuss the working hours for this role and you availability to cover the opening hours.
