Delivery model:

Work-based training with your employer Day release during term time (approximately 1 day a week for 18 months) Approximately 12 on-site assessment visits per year Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required) Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice’s time at work

Qualifications included:

Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship

End Point Assessment:

Knowledge assessment Practical observation Professional discussion

Training Outcome:

The objective is that the apprenticeship is passed, and the role will change to Junior Vehicle Technician, following that further training to qualify as a Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester.



Employer Description:
Run by married couple David & Ruth Povall. We are a medium-sized garage based in a village location. We pride ourselves in being a friendly but professional company that offers our customers good value for money and a excellent level of service.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm with 1 hr lunch. Also expected to work every other Saturday morning but with time off in the week to reflect this.
