Calibration & Repair Engineer Apprentice
As a Calibration & Repair Engineer Apprentice you will be part of a team responsible for, repair, test, calibrate and adjust a wide range of test and measurement equipment from a wide range of electrical and physical parameters.
You will become an integral member of the team and make a significant contribution to business in achieving its ambitious business growth plans.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Observing, learning, and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and processes whilst under the guidance of skilled technical staff Demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses by working independently or as part of a team, to undertake tasks as instructed and to increase overall contribution to the department To undertake and successfully complete suitable college and/or practical training course(s) throughout the training period, achieving the academic grades and practical skills in order to entitle yearly progression Learn and understand the importance of Health and Safety within the workplace Learn how to maintain workshop equipment and keep it in good working order Maintain a logbook over the duration of the apprenticeship, recording projects that have been undertaken and skills that have been learned Maintain and ensure good housekeeping of the workplace Any other reasonable duties appropriate to grade and role as required Adhere to all policy and legislative requirements in respect of Health & Safety and Environmental legislationTraining:
The successful candidate will complete Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard This will be delivered in college via day release once a week, and in the workplace with a tutor visiting once a month
Training Outcome:
Possibility of permanent employment and going on to complete further qualifications
