Apprentice Joiner

Learning about all aspects of joinery on a day to day basis. Learning about keeping the job clean and tidy. Learning about how to use hand and power tools in a safe and correct way. Learning to deal with the customers on a day to day basis. Assisting myself with all day to day work. Learning about all the different fixings and where they are all kept in the van.

Training:

Full induction and ongoing training and mentoring. Apprentices will also have an allocated College Assessor who will make regular visits to the restaurant and conduct on-site training as well as conduct three-way reviews to ensure momentum and progress.

Employer Description:
I have been in the joinery trade for 39 years this year .Working for a timber frame window company and loft conversions and some general builders, then on to working on multi million pound construction sites. I started my business in 2004 Wissett Joinery and now in my 21st year of running my business . I undertake all joinery aspects of work and some small extensions. My currant apprentice won apprentice of the year last year Level 2 and is just finishing his Level 3 off now . As I say to all my apprentices I want to see them driving around in their own vans with their name on the side of the van. Who ever gets the job will be getting brilliant training one to one and will learn good work ethic and a good grounding for their future.

Working Hours :
8.00am - 4.30pm ,between 32 and 40 hours a week.
