Apprentice Engineer
Through the appropriate training and support, an Apprentice Fire and Security Engineer will learn and be expected to:
Assist in the installation of fire alarm systems, security cameras, access control systems, TECS (Technical Enabled Care Systems) and other related equipment. Troubleshoot and repair fire and security systems to ensure they are functioning properly. Assist in conducting regular inspections and testing of fire alarm and security systems according to industry standards. Gain knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and standards related to fire and security systems.• Collaborate with experienced technicians to learn best practices and techniques in the field.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports and installation records.
• Follow H&S protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Attend training provider facilities as agreed.
• Ensure all training is completed on time and submitted for assessment.
• Complete all training as assigned by the business in a timely manner.

08.30 - 17.00, Monday to Friday. Overtime optional.
