IT Support Apprentice

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience.
You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems as necessary Install and configure computer systems, software, and network devices Set up and maintain user accounts, passwords, and permissions on various systems Perform regular system updates and software patches Assist with network maintenance and monitoring Support and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other IT infrastructure Document issues, resolutions, and any actions taken in support logs Provide training and guidance to end-users on basic software, hardware, and IT best practices Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations Take part in projects to improve systems, software, and processes Maintain and manage hardware inventory, including computers, printers, and other IT equipment Assist with data backup and recovery procedures

Training:

Full level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Standard.



Training Outcome:

A permanent position may be on offer upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
