Equine Groom Apprentice

All general yard duties to include :

Mucking out Turning out/bringing in Tack cleaning /tacking up Feeding Filling hay nets Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming Bathing Rug changing Attending competitions with either owner or senior groom and training when possible Communicate with liveries Hacking First aid Exercising horses from the ground (lunging and long reining) Holding for vet/farrier/dentist/physio

This position will be a non-riding Equine Groom Apprenticeship, unless you bring your own horses to ride.



Training:

All training will be provided on-site during your paid working hours. Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in-person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.



Training Outcome:

Progression to the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship and/ or possibility of a full-time position upon completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Hours for this position are 40 per week, to be worked over 5 days to include weekend work. 7am - 4pm, with an hours lunch and a tea break.
