Apprentice Building Services Engineer

The apprentice will shadow a qualified engineer to start with learning how systems work and how to fix problems. The engineer will also be tasked with small repairs building up their skill level to eventually be able to diagnose and repair plant, equipment and M&E services on their own as well as be competent in completing all the site documentation including engineering forms, risk assessments and timesheets. The role is client facing so communication skills are paramount.



Training:

The training will be carried out by our preferred training provider based in Essex and will be one day per week (term time) day release.  Time will also be provided for completion of course work and portfolios as required.



Training Outcome:

The apprentice will be a fully qualified Building Services Engineer at the end of the apprenticeship. This will set a career path in the Building Services Industry and eventually could lead to Contract Manager or further.



Employer Description:
Installation, servicing and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 08.00 - 17.00. Day release to college (day to be advised but currently Friday). There will be overtime available if required.
