Commis Chef Apprentice
Food preparation: Assist with chopping, peeling, slicing, and preparing ingredients for cooking
Maintaining kitchen hygiene: Ensure kitchen tools, utensils, and surfaces are cleaned and sanitised according to safety standards
Cooking assistance: Help in the cooking process, following instructions from senior chefs to prepare dishes to specification
Plating and presentation
Food safety: Follow food safety protocols, ensuring proper storage and handling of food to prevent contamination
Training:
Training will take place at work and on site at City College Plymouth
Traing will be 1 day a week at City College Plymouth
Training Outcome:
After successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will hold a full level 2 Standard qualification
If successful within the role you may be able to progress within your employment
