Commercial Grounds Maintenance / Landscaping Apprentice

Duties would include:

Grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, spraying, hand weeding, planting trees/shrubs, grass seeding/turfing, hard landscape works Punctual Listen to instructions and ask if unsure High standard of attention to detail Friendly and approachable Willingness to learn Wear all required personal protective equipment

Extra training will be provided, enabling the individual to work on
construction sites.

Training:

Upon completion of all elements of your Apprenticeship you
will be awarded a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in
Horticulture (Horticulture/Landscape operative).
In addition, you will achieve:

Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work The Safe Use of Pesticides (PA1) Safe Use of Abrasive Wheels (Landscape option) English and maths: Apprentices without GCSE/Level 2 English and Maths must achieve level 1 and take the test for level 2 before
taking the end-point assessment.

Training Outcome:

The opportunity for the right person is for a long-term job following the passing of the apprenticeship, with further training to suit the job and individual requirements.

Employer Description:
The business is a family partnership and have been in business for 35 years. We employee 2 full time workers who are dedicated to the high values the business has towards customer care and quality workmanship.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday. Flexible start and finish times and from different locations ranging from: 06.00 – 07.30 start time 15.00 – 17.00 finish times.
