Lead M&E Shift Engineer – NIGHTS ONLY - London Liverpool Street – Up to £55,000 per annum

CBW is currently recruiting for a Lead Night Shift Engineer to be based at a recently completed, high-profile development in the City. This flagship building offers a modern, high-spec working environment within a landmark location. 

The successful candidate will work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (7pm–7am), carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across all areas of the building. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the building operates efficiently and safely during night hours, maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence.

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesCarry out both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the entire siteEnsure all engineering and compliance paperwork is completed and up to dateManage and monitor building systems, including BMS, lighting, and HVACConduct routine checks and testing – emergency lighting, fire alarms, and statutory systemsComplete small electrical/mechanical installations and repairsLiaise with daytime teams to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of serviceSupport site audits and ensure readiness for inspectionsEnsure all health, safety, and compliance standards are metHours of Work
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 offHours: 7:00pm – 7:00amRequirements
Electrical or Mechanical qualifications – Level 2/3 NVQ or City & Guilds (or equivalent)Multi-skilled background (electrical and mechanical maintenance)Experience working in a commercial building maintenance environmentStrong communication skills and ability to work independently during night shiftsReliable, proactive, and safety-consciousFamiliarity with E-Log books and building management systems (BMS)Please send your CV to Katie at CBW Staffing Solutions for more information.
