Apprentice Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Nurse

Assist senior staff in the planning and preparation for activities and in the provision of day care to meet the physical, educational, personal, social and emotional development needs of the children attending the Nursery. Work in co-operation with senior staff in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and in the planning and preparation of activities and programmes of work for groups and individual children in order to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for each child. Observe, monitor and assess individual children and contribute to their written records on a regular basis. Provide an environment that ensures the children have adequate provision for snacks and rest periods throughout the day. Participate in the training and assessment of students in placements in the Nursery as appropriate. Contribute to a well organised, purposeful and motivating learning environment where children and students feel
safe, secure, confident and valued.

Training Outcome:

On the completion of your apprenticeship you'll remain a permanent member of our Hobby Horse Children's Centre team, and be ready for a career in Early Years.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday between 08:30-17:00, shifts on a rota basis.
