Mechanical Engineering (Building Services) - Apprentice

Apprentice Key Responsibilities:

Support engineers in calculating weights for pipe modules Assist in the development and refinement of design drawings Prepare spool sheets for fabrication, subject to review and approval by the engineer Collaborate with the engineering team to understand mechanical systems and fabrication processes

This apprenticeship is designed to provide a clear pathway toward becoming a qualified Mechanical Engineer.



Training:
Building Services Engineering Senior Technician Level 4 (Higher national certificate) Apprenticeship Standard Training will take place at Croydon College Campus on a day-release basis (one day per week) The role is based at SL6 4UW, and while regular travel to Croydon College is expected, any additional travel requirements will be discussed with the candidate in advance

Training Outcome:
There will be opportunities for promotion based on demonstrated skills and performance

Employer Description:
Premier Mechanical Installations Limited is a mechanical fabrication and installation company specialising in data center projects across the UK and Europe. We support our clients throughout the design phase of each project, with a particular focus on Chilled Water-Cooling Systems. Once the design drawings are approved, we convert them into detailed fabrication drawings. This involves breaking down the system into modular pipe sections, which are then manufactured for installation.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 16:30 Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
