Apprentice Engineering Design Apprentice

Day to day tasks will include:

Preparing detailed designs for projects using 2D and 3D CAD Communicating designs to the design team and customers Preparing initial design briefs Assessing and reporting on quality standards of the projects via the digital environment

For the right person, there is the opportunity to develop skills in design and drawing techniques within a fast-paced, busy workplace. On completion of your apprenticeship, you will be able to produce drawings and designs to industry standards and regulations. 



Training:

Engineering Design and Draughtsperson Level 3.

Remote sessions for the BTEC qualification would be undertaken during the academic year.

Assessments would take place in the workplace every 8 weeks.

Two examinations would need to be undertaken at the Training Providers site in Barnsley. You would also need to attend a surveying course in Barnsley for a week as well.



Training Outcome:

Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will have the chance to work as a qualified CAD Technician, which in turn can lead on to senior level roles within the organisation, or open opportunities for progression outside of the business.
