Engineering Technician Apprenticeship

The apprentice will operate within the fitting department, and will competently carry out the following to an efficient and high-quality output:

Ensure the mechanical and electrical fit outs are completed to the appropriate levels of quality and to standards and manufacturers best practice Responsible for providing the relevant Supervisor/Departmental Manager with progress updates and raise concerns where necessary Ensure all Health and Safety protocols are followed Read and interpret engineering drawings Be able to work as part of a team A willingness to learn new skills and work under own initiative Keep working area in a neat and tidy fashion Clear and accurate completion of all company documentation

Training:
The apprentice will achieve a Level 3 Maintenance Engineering Technician apprenticeship This will be on the Mechatronics pathway Engineering Technician/Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education They will spend four days a week in the workplace, and one day a week at St Austell College

Training Outcome:
Possible full-time employment on completion of the apprenticeship The apprentice may also wish to progress onto a higher level apprenticeship

Monday - Thursday, 9.00am - 5.30pm
