KS1 Teaching Assistant Apprentice with a focus on SEN

Provide support to children with Special Educational Needs Provide attentive and nurturing care to children in a school setting, ensuring their safety and well-being Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, maintaining a secure and stimulating environment Assist in the implementation of age-appropriate educational activities and learning experiences Follow established curriculum guidelines, fostering the development of key skills, social interaction, and creativity among KS1 children Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians, sharing information about a child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise Collaborate with parents to address specific needs or challenges and provide a supportive link between home and school.

Training:
You will study for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification with our chosen training provider. You must make excellent progress with the apprenticeship and complete any tasks and assignments on time and to a high standard. You must record off-the-job training on a weekly basis. You must maintain regular contact with your tutor and attend all review sessions. You must complete the enrolment process of the apprenticeship in a timely manner. You will complete your studies alongside employment, there is no requirement for day release.

Training Outcome:

The aim of the apprenticeships are to offer ongoing, successful careers within our school which may lead to routes into teaching in the future.
