Apprentice Phlebotomy/Admin Assistant
Effectively communicate with patients, team members, GP practices and community staff, to ensure a high standard of customer care.
To offer a blood collection service for patients in our outpatient clinics, wards and community.
Complete all necessary documentation and computerised appointment system.
Ensure the safe disposal of blood samples, in line with the Trust H&S protocols.
Take specimens into appropriate specimen collection containers, ensuring they are accurately labelled.
Use the (Airshute) specimen transport system.
Prepare glucose drinks and administer them to patients when necessary.
Maintain stock levels of materials.
Training:
Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 apprenticeship.
Functional skills maths and english, as required.
All statutory manadatory training.
Phlebotomy training, if required.
Training Outcome:
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship programme there could be further development in your career through our PDR process.

Working Hours :
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (weekends and bank holidays may be required). Shifts TBC.
