Apprentice - Finance
To oversee the purchase ledger function, ensuring all purchase ledgers are complete and closed by the 7th of the following month.
To investigate unallocated cash and to respond to purchase ledger supplier queries.
To be the main point of contact to resolve queries and to liaise with suppliers
To undertake daily bank reconciliations.
To be responsible for petty cash, reconciling it on a weekly basis.
To process weekly supplier invoices, matching to purchase orders.
To check price, product and quantity matches with purchase order.
To input purchase ledger invoices onto the sage line 50 accounting system.
To process payments via Bacs or by cheque.
To check and reconcile supplier statements.
To file invoices and statements.
To chase relevant paperwork.
To agree payments schedules with the Management Accountant.
To complete general admin duties, photocopying, posting supplier invoices, statements.
To undertake any other finance related work.
To ensure all documents are prepared and delivered within the agreed timescale.
Provide general admin and finance support to the finance team ensuring that all work is in accordance with the policies and procedures of Conservatory Outlet.
Training:
Your training will be with an assessor visiting you on site in Wakefield.
Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.
Training Outcome:
Potential to develop a career in finance and continue to study for your AAT qualification. Opportunity to gain an accountancy qualification.
