Childcare Apprenticeship - Birmingham
As a Child Care Apprentice, you’ll be a hero in tiny humans’ lives - helping them with snacks, naps, and navigating the epic world of finger painting. Expect lots of giggles, the occasional tantrum (from both kids and yourself), and plenty of "Why?" questions that you won’t have answers to. You’ll assist with activities, meals, and personal care, all while learning the ropes of early childhood education. Bonus: you'll probably become a pro at building LEGO towers and breaking up crayon disputes!
As a childcare apprentice, you'll join a supportive team of nursery practitioners and early years educators. Depending on your strengths and business needs, you could work with babies, toddlers, or preschoolers. You'll gain hands-on experience in child development, helping to plan activities, manage daily routines, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. Alongside learning practical childcare skills, you'll develop strong communication abilities, working closely with children, parents, and your team. This role offers valuable experience and a pathway to further qualifications in early years education.
Your role will include:
Assist with the daily care and supervision of children, including feeding, changing, and engaging in play Help plan and participate in educational and creative activities to support children's development Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment, ensuring health and safety standards are met Support the emotional and social development of children by encouraging positive behaviour and interactions Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and supervisors about children's progress and needsBenefits Include:

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.
This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained, Early Years Practitioner - Level 2.
Training Outcome:
Possibility of a full time role after the completion of the apprenticeship.
