Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
Be an active member of the pre-school team
Promote the aims of Panda Pre-school and Werneth and Freehold Community Development Project
Work flexibly and supportively with other team members
Promote equal opportunities and diversity with the pre-school
To provide a stable and secure environment for all children meeting their needs in personal, social, emotional, communicative and physical development
To provide a stimulating environment that promotes opportunities for learning in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage
To participate in providing a happy and relaxed environment where parents are happy to leave their children
To encourage parents and carers to share in the education of their children
To work in accordance with pre-school’s safeguarding and child protection procedures
Be aware of children’s dietary requirements, allergies and medical needs
To participate in relevant training courses that maybe required for your own personal development or the professional need of the pre-school
To attend and participate in weekly team meetings and planning sessions
Participate in mentoring sessions and shadowing within the pre-school
To undertake any duties as may be reasonably determined by the manager or deputy manager
To communicate the schedule of attendance at Oldham College and assessment timetable with the pre-school manager throughout your apprenticeship
Training:
Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
You will attend weekly, off the job training sessions at the Oldham college
English and maths qualifications form a mandatory part of all apprenticeships and must be completed before an apprentice can pass through gateway
The apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework
Training Outcome:
The opportunity for permanent employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Employer Description:
Panda pre-school has been established for 19 years and operates over two sites. As a not-for-profit pre-school, it is owned and managed by WFCDP and any profit goes back into the work of the charity.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 8.15am - 3.00pm (including lunch break).
