Carpentry Apprentice

Job Description:

As a Carpentry Apprentice, you will be given hands-on training and experience across a wide range of carpentry tasks, working closely with our experienced team to develop your skills and knowledge. The role will involve working on both residential and commercial projects, where you will assist in various aspects of carpentry work, including:

1st Fix Carpentry:

Structural work such as installing joists, rafters, and stud work. Fitting door frames, windows, staircases, and partitions. Basic framework and timber structures.

2nd Fix Carpentry:

Completing the final touches such as fitting skirting boards, architraves, and doors. Installation of flooring, kitchen units, and shelving. Attention to detail is crucial, ensuring a high-quality finish on all tasks.

General Carpentry:

General maintenance, repairs, and custom woodworking. Working on bespoke joinery tasks as needed. Handling various materials and tools, ensuring safe work practices.

Fire Door Services:

Assisting in the installation and maintenance of fire doors in line with fire safety regulations. Carrying out inspections and remedial work on fire doors to ensure compliance with legal standards. Working to ensure fire safety standards are met and maintained across all projects.

What You’ll Learn:

Comprehensive carpentry skills, including measuring, cutting, and shaping materials. Knowledge of safety protocols, building regulations, and fire door compliance. How to interpret technical drawings and plans. Use of power tools, hand tools, and carpentry equipment. Problem-solving skills and an understanding of how to deliver excellent customer service.

Training Outcome:
Further progression may well be available in other areas within our sector, upon successful completion of this apprenticeship.

Greenwall Solutions specialises in Fire Prevention, Protection and Maintenance services including Fire Doors. Established by two best friends, one an experienced ex Firefighter and the other a carpenter & joiner who has spent over 15 years fitting fire safety measures, for clients such as the NHS, Skanska, Kier and Kent County Council. Fire safety is our passion, our team of engineers are highly trained and regularly audited to ensure our services remain at the highest standard. We offer free and friendly consultations, where we can tailor solutions to your needs and budget.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm.
