Apprentice Teaching Assistant
Work closely with the class teacher to contribute to the management of student behaviour, maintain order and an appropriate working environment including implementation of the school’s behaviour policies.
Establish and promote productive relationships with students acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
Promote the inclusion of all students within the classroom and school.
Support students by recognising their individual needs.
Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other relevant staff to support students’ learning and progress.
Effectively communicate the work set by the class teacher to the students and ensure that students are aware of the teacher’s expectations.
Training:
An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be
expected to work towards the Teaching Assistant level 3, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.
Training Outcome:
Offer of permanent contract upon sucessful completion of apprenticeship for the right candidate.
