Learning Disability Support Worker - Adult Care Apprenticeship

This role includes; 

Work as part of our care staff team supporting our service users with their day to day activities including personal care. To help our service users make informed and independent choices whilst following their person centered care plans. Promote a healthy and active lifestyle Encouraging and supporting independence and social skills in the wider community. Participate in a varied range of household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc. Achieving the highest possible standards in hygiene practice. Support our service users to have access to and receive the healthcare, emotional and psychological support they need. Follow instruction from your shift leader or manager where you may be asked to work independently or part of a team. Act as a Keyworker for one of the residents and completing their daily care records. Transport our services users to their appointments, activities and on day trips in our small, manual, wheelchair adapted vehicles (not mini buses).

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Adult Care Worker - Level 2 Apprenticeship, including Functional Skills in English and maths if required

Training Outcome:

Possibility of a full time role after the completion of the apprenticeship for the right candidate

The Willows is owned by Fountain Care Ltd and is a 24 hour Residential Care home for people with learning disabilities. We provide support based on individual assessed needs and we place the rights of the people we support at the forefront of our service.

Working Hours :
x3 12Hrs Shifts (08:00-20:00)
