Business Admin Apprentice
Duties will include:
Provide comprehensive all round support to Head Office; to include Finance, HR, and Marketing. Occasional relief Customer Service cover across the Business Units. (to be agreed in advance). Produce accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Under supervision, perform financial processes, recording and analysing data. Chose most appropriate IT solution to suit a business need. Update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required. Make recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Assist in collating content for regular staff news bulletin. Assist in developing and maintaining staff email groups. Draft correspondence, reports and review the work of others. Maintain records and files, handle confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Take responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manage priorities and time in order to successfully meet deadlines. Assist in organising, meetings including calendar management, making room bookings and note taking. Creating action logs as appropriate. Take responsibility for logistics e.g. travel and accommodation. Assist in event planning to support for Head Office, (external and internal events), including Langford events e.g. staff events, open days, shows and Academy events. Meeting greeting visitors. Ordering catering and resources as required as agreed with line manager. Understand how to administer billing, process invoices and purchase orders.Training:
You will work towards the Level 3 standard apprenticeship in Business Administration. You will attend college once a week and have an assessor who will visit you onsite to carry out observations. An End Point Assessment will be used to assess your qualification at the end of your programme.
Training Outcome:
This is the first administrative apprenticeship that LV have offered.
We will review progress throughout the year and if the candidate
successfully completes the Apprenticeship and a vacancy/opportunity is available, we would consider employment.
Employer Description:
Langford Vets is a limited company and a subsidiary of the University of Bristol, which provides a clinical hands-on teaching environment for students in our on-site hospital and Small Animal Practice. Langford Vets operates as a sustainable business including provision for small animals, farm and equine. It also has its own Diagnostics Unit and Laboratory and provides a platform for research and collaborations with the University.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday. 9am - 5pm 1 hour lunch break.
