Sewing Machinist Apprentice J3385
We have an opportunity to join a well-established, specialist manufacturer and distributor, renowned for crafting high-quality scooter canopies, storage covers, garages, and bags for scooters and wheelchairs. With over 40 years of experience, we pride ourselves on producing durable products with exceptional workmanship. As a Level 2 Sewing Machinist Apprentice, you will be trained and supported to master sewing machinist operations, ensuring that products meet our exacting quality standards.
Key Duties:
Prepare materials, accessories, and machinery for sewing operations. Execute sewing machinist tasks to meet product specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency. Conduct quality assurance checks, rectify issues, and prepare products for the next production stage. Maintain a safe and sustainable workplace environment and perform basic equipment maintenance. Record production data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills in a supportive environment while contributing to the success of a company with a history in manufacturing excellence.
Training:
The apprentice must:

The apprentice’s employer must be content that the apprentice is occupationally competent. That is, they are deemed to be working at or above the level set out in the apprenticeship standard and ready to undertake the EPA. The employer may take advice from the apprentice's training provider, but the employer must make the decision. The apprentice will then enter the gateway.
The apprentice must meet the gateway requirements before starting their EPA.
The apprentice must:

Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00 Friday: 08:00 -15.45 Breaks: 10am – 15-minute break 1pm lunch break – 30-minute break 3pm – 15-minute break
