Apprentice Surveying Technician (Level 3)

You will have opportunities within the team to gain building surveying experience whilst studying part time towards a level 3 Diploma in Surveying and following a successful end point assessment you will become an associate member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (AssocRICS).

What is the role?
Based at one of our area housing offices and reporting directly to a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be working as part of a team of apprentices and experienced Building Surveyors. You will assist the team to manage our assets by undertaking a range of property surveys and essential compliance tasks. These will include:
Energy Performance Certificates Vacant property surveys Stock condition & data surveys General compliance surveys Repair quality surveysYou will be supporting our Building Surveyors who carry out a wide range of repairs surveys across our varied asset portfolio of over 17,000 council owned or leasehold properties in Portsmouth and Havant, together with corporate operational, commercial and community assets. You will be supporting the team to maintain and improve our properties while ensuring the right repairs are carried out at the right time.
You will undertake stock condition surveys followed by timely updates to the stock database. Your input will help to ensure that we have up to date, accurate information for our properties to enable us to run precise measures and identify areas needing improvement.
As a Surveying Technician, you will also be responsible for ensuring our homes have compliant and up to date energy performance certificates to ensure that our potential customers have all the information they need to make an informed choice about the energy efficiency of a building before committing to signing a lease agreement.
