Joinery Apprentice

Learning to use different types of wood / material for each job Learning how to read technical drawings and understanding the fitting requirements within the building Conducting site surveys and attending site with our fitters Measuring and marking wood according to technical designs Cutting, sanding and edging wood on machines or by hand Using a range of equipment from traditional tools to state-of-the-art computerised cutting equipment and hi-tech drawing and design software Spraying or hand finishing product with bespoke stains and finishes Conducting quality checks & preparing product for delivery Housekeeping and ensuring health and safety protocols are met at all times

Training Outcome:

Helm Joinery have been working hard in the past few years to develop our offering to the luxury market and only hope to grow further, with the opportunity for the right candidate to develop alongside us.



Employer Description:
Helm Joinery are a high-end bespoke furniture manufacturer based in Cheshire with over 10 years of residential and commercial experience. We are a busy team of 9 with a dedicated spray shop, design team and new workshop in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.

Working Hours :
Monday – Thursday 7.30 - 4.30 & Friday 7.30 – 1.30 30 minute unpaid lunch
