Apprentice Early Years Practitioner L2

The role involves caring for our youngest children in the nursery, helping them develop skills and knowledge needed to be independent thinkers and to be ready to start school.  During a typical day the role involves:

Preparing the space both indoors and outdoors; Meeting and greeting children and parents; Helping the children settle in for the day in nursery. Working with individuals or groups on play based activities-some set up by the staff and others chosen by the children in self-led play. Working outdoors encouraging adventure and cooperation and indoors supporting all aspects of the child’s development. Clearing the space at the end of the day and preparing for the next day.  It will also include learning about child development, health and safety and child protection.

Training Outcome:
Considered for employment if vacancy arises or may be able to continue to do a level 3 apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, with one day release for college. 8.30am to 4.00pm.
