Apprentice Electrical Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician
The engineering apprentice shall be responsible for carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient operation of the ERF plant
Ensures maintenance plans and targets are achieved safely, economically and within the environmental limits of the plant
Works alongside other functions as necessary
Carry out fault investigation, diagnosis and rectification as required
Management of records and implementation of maintenance requirements
Aware and where become fully conversant with drawings and P&ID’s as required
Be pro-active and creative in problem solving and initiative
Ensure that all reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System is effective and followed through to completion promptly
Broaden experience by covering the engineering technician duties if required
Ensure that all activities within the ERF plant are carried out in a safe manner in line with local and company procedures
Carry out risk assessments and method statements to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner at all times
Work as part of a team striving for continual improvement in minimising environmental Health & Safety risk at the ERF plant
Identification and resolution of problems, escalation to management in a timely fashion
Complete appropriate training courses to facilitate your role

Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3
Maintaining the safety, integrity and effective operation of plant and equipment in industries that are part of the national infrastructure engineering sector, such as, electricity generating, oil and gas refining and pharmaceuticals.

Employer Description:
The ERF will use approximately 25GWh per year of the available energy and the plastics reprocessing facility will have an estimated usage of 70GWh to 105GWh, depending on its processing requirements. Leaving 177GWh to 212GWh available to supply the National Grid network.
