Production Apprentice (Machining)

· Manual and automatic machine operation in production of components

· Use of various equipment, grinding wheels, lathes, other equipment under supervision

· To learn and gain knowledge and understanding of various plant and equipment in developing skills throughout the apprenticeship

· Maintaining a good working environment and safe working conditions through good housekeeping standards, ensuring appropriate personal protective equipment is worn when required, encouraging a positive ‘safety culture’ and aiming for zero accidents which can be monitored through accident statistics and health and safety inspections.

Training:

Machining technician level 3 apprenticeship standard. Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths will be provided for those without GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) if required.  
Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date. 

Training Outcome:

There will be the potential for full time employment, on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, shifts to be confirmed.
