Dental Nurse Apprentice

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work-

The Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship offers employment within a dental practice with an accompanying assessment and skills development programme. It will develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours of the learner to operate competently in all aspects of clinical responsibilities.

It will also provide you with the relevant qualification to apply for professional registration as a dental nurse to the General Dental Council (GDC).

Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment.

Cross infection Anatomy Radiography Oral hygiene Orthodontics Restoration Legislation First aid Health and safety

You will complete on and off-the-job training whilst you are fully supported throughout, progressing to gateway and endpoint assessment.

Training:
Level 3 Dental Nurse qualification An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. Functional Skills in maths and English at Level 2 is available to be studied alongside the apprenticeship if you do not have GCSEs or Functional skills or equivalent at Level 2 already.

Providing a wide range of dental treatments to the public we are a friendly and busy dental practice.

Working Hours :
Working at least 30 to 40 hours a week, usual shifts are 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
