Responsibilities include:
Using life skills, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference in a child’s life. You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
Within this leadership role, you will not only ensure the welfare and care of each child but also give guidance and support to all residential workers.
You will be committed to making a difference, this includes being responsible for staff supervision, leading shifts, ensuring placement plans are followed, policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas and making sure that education is supported.
You will create positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times.
Essential requirements
* Candidates must be 22 years old or above as per children's home regulations
* You will also need a valid UK driving licence.
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce.
* Atleast 2 years experience within residential childcare and working alongside young people

A client within the Public Sector based in the Northeast is currently recruiting for a Repairs Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to assess and evaluate the condition of properties, conducting surveys, and identifying necessary repairs and maintenance work.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Collaborating with the Repairs and Maintenance team to develop cost estimates and project plans for identified works
Providing accurate and detailed reports on survey findings, including documentation of defects, recommended remedial actions, and estimated costs
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, health and safety guidelines, and industry best practices
Liaising with internal stakeholders, contractors, and clients to coordinate survey activities and ensure timely completion of projects
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between properties and sites. You will also need to be asbestos awareness trained, with a thorough understanding of asbestos-related risks and precautions
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
Relevant trade background (e.g., construction, building maintenance) with a solid understanding of building structures, materials, and defects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately assess and evaluate property conditions
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to various stakeholders
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £23 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
