Azure DevOps Architect
A leading Cloud Consultancy are headhunting for a DevOps Architect to join their impressive Cloud Services team. As a DevOps advocate, you will be empowered to streamline processes through innovative use of code, platforms, and tools.
Your team will provide standardized approaches and frameworks, collaborating within the Cloud Services Group to architect, build, and maintain solutions that drive operational excellence. You will create a diverse portfolio of solutions, from targeted automation scripts to full-scale platforms with web front-end functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the technical expert in Automation/DevOps.
Lead the DevOps community of practice.
Drive service improvement through process/tooling/automation.
Create and maintain guidance frameworks for optimisation solutions.
Document and consider strategic requirements.
Identify and prioritise optimisation opportunities.
Provide guidance and training on best practices.
Introduce valuable new technologies and tools.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Independently handle tasks and projects.
Requirements:
Understanding of the software development lifecycle and DevOps/SRE methodologies.
Microsoft technology background, especially Azure PaaS.
Familiarity with CI/CD implementations and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
Proficient in multiple programming languages (e.g., .Net (C#), PowerShell, T-SQL).
Desirable: Python, Java/JavaScript, Microsoft Power Platform (Apps, Automate, BI).
Desirable: Awareness of Microsoft frameworks like the Cloud Adoption Framework.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Remote based.

Purpose of role:
To diligently fulfil the software testing activities that enable us to provide exceptional software that is easy to install and maintain and meets the needs of our “clients”. The definition of clients in this case relates to end users of the software and our own tech team for support and ease of installation.
Key Learnings:
Software testing:
How to take ownership and be responsible for allocated day-to-day sprint related testing
Reviewing resolved work items and collaborating with Test Lead on the preparation of test scenarios
Executing test scenarios
Ensure time is booked against relevant tickets and any work carried out is clearly documented
Analysing and troubleshooting results noting any impacts on database use, further functional issues, and usability - raising tickets/concerns back to the test lead and team as appropriate
Raise tickets diligently, with sufficient evidence/information, and categorise as appropriate
Participate and collaborate with Test Lead during the regression testing phase
Executing/refining suitable test plans covering shallow to deep
Staying up to date with new technology and sharing with colleagues any interesting findings
Implement and maintain Test Strategy, Policies and Procedures
Support:
Validate client related requests/issues reported, obtaining as much background information as possible including use cases/steps to recreate/urgency
Raise tickets from the above and use the scrum process to present to the team
Provide feedback to the client as appropriate, or delegate this to an appropriate team member
Staying up to date with new technology and techniques - taking appropriate courses where necessary. Share findings with the team and discuss how to incorporate findings
Specification/requirements and static testing:
Liaising on/contributing to development meetings
Help review specifications/functional wireframes to ensure process follows spec (static testing)
Estimating own work tickets with accurate and realistic figures
Tool set:
Look after any equipment provided by the company, and ensure the software is kept up to date with any OS security updates
Training:Your apprenticeship training will lead to the Software Tester at Level 4 apprenticeship standard and will be delivered remotely with scheduled tutorials with an experienced tutor from Firebrand. The SAP Basis Security Administrator’s job will encompass:
Install, maintain, configure, and tune SAP environments to ensure integrity, and stability.
Install security patches, OSS Notes, and support packs, including OS and DB-level patching activities for SAP and integrated systems.

Ideal candidates for the job of SAP Basis Security Administrator will possess the following skills:

Possess working knowledge of SAP Basis administration, including managing, monitoring, transport system management, system refreshes/client copies, upgrades/support packs, tuning, and troubleshooting of the SAP systems.
