THE ROLE
My client, an established firm of PQS now seeks a SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR with some experience of the EMPLOYER'S AGENT role to join them in the Stockport, Greater Manchester area.
You will have the opportunity of working on a range of projects including residential and care homes for private and public sector clients.
You will be involved in all aspects of Cost Management doing both pre and post contract duties including overseeing cost management and budget control, dealing directly with clients and stakeholders, preparing reports and maintaining project documentation, ensuring compliance with contracts etc.
THE COMPANY
My client is a firm of PQS with a good range of clients and they are on various client frameworks.
They are a firm of construction consultants offering clients both cost management, employer's agent and project management services.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a UK firm of PQS.
You will need to have at least 5 years or more experience doing both pre and post contract duties.
You will need to have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar and be either MRICS qualified or you may be working towards APC and have a number of years QS experience.
Some experience of the Employer's Agent role including contract administration is preferred.
You should to deal directly with clients and stakeholders and have first class communication skills.
You will need to be a car owner and driver as some of the projects are not near to public transport.
You should have a stable work record.
You must have excellent English both written and spoken along with good IT skills and have good client facing skills.
Salary is in the region of £55000 to £75000 plus car allowance, pension contribution plus RICS fees and two discretionary bonus' per annum. Health insurance after a year.

You will be an MRICS qualified Building Surveyor at Associate level or at Senior level and be ready to step up to Associate.
You should be chartered with the RICS and have experience gained with a UK firm of chartered building surveyors or other multi discipline consultants.
You will have strong technical knowledge along with broad based building surveying experience.
You must have a good understanding of the building process to be able to meet with clients and deal with their required project at all stages.
You should have a stable work record with other firms of construction consultants.
You must have excellent written and spoken English and be confident in dealing with people at all levels.
You should be interested in getting involved with some networking and business development.

Our client, a leading environmental consultancy, is seeking a skilled Asbestos Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in supporting the company's mission to become a top 5 company in the asbestos testing and surveying industry.
Position Overview
As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting site-based inspection surveys and analytical identification of potential asbestos fibres in the air, in line with the company's accredited in-house procedures and HSG 248. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with UKAS requirements, international standards, and national legislation related to asbestos.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site-based inspection surveys and analytical identification of potential asbestos fibres in the air - clients will be based predominantly around the M25
- Perform all types of air tests and 4-stage clearances following asbestos abatement works
- Represent the company on-site, setting strategic guidance and values
- Ensure compliance with UKAS requirements, international standards, and national legislation related to asbestos
- Maintain and secure equipment, record data legibly, and manage samples appropriately
- Provide support to the Technical/Quality Manager
- Maintain a professional demeanour when interacting with customers and working on their premises
- Participate in quality control activities, audits, and maintain good communication with colleagues
- Ensure mobile lab cleanliness and equipment functionality
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards, legislation, and guidance
- Complete clearly defined assignments set by management in the absence of site work
Requirements
- Minimum of BOHS P402, P403, and P404 or equivalent RSPH certification
- Relevant experience allowing immediate consideration for admittance to the company's QC/Audit scheme
- Competent, knowledgeable approach with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and maintain good communication across all levels and platforms
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety and risks to people and property in the working environment
