Selling a range of infection control products (Alcohol Wipes, Chlorine Wipes, Detergent Wipes, Disinfectant Wipes & Skin Cleansing Wipes)
Selling 99% into the NHS
70% of the time selling to infection control leads, head of infection control, infection control directors and other KOL's within the hospitals + 30% of the time will be dealing with procurement - very little needs to be done on price as that is set at the contract stage

As a support member within the managed services team, your role is pivotal in helping to ensure our customers have a smooth and efficient experience when raising incidents and requests as part of their customer support journey.

Initial tier 1 triage for new incidents and requests. This will operate via the support portal and phone calls

What you need for the role:
· Previous experience working in a management role (as a deputy manager or above) within a Learning Disabilities service or care home, including safeguarding, risk management and health and safety.
· Experienced working with clients with learning disabilities who may present with challenges, following positive behaviour support principles.
· A passion for leading teams in the provision of outstanding care.
· NVQ / diploma level 3 or above in Health and Social Care.
· Understanding of CQC requirements – you’ll be the registered manager, with great organisational support including a central CQC compliance manager.
· A Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be paid for by Southdown.
What would be nice:
· Understanding of Makaton or non-verbal communication.
· A full manual driving licence is preferred as you may need to drive our service vehicles to help keep our clients connected to their community.
· Experience managing an operational service budget, including resource management to ensure staffing levels meet client needs while keeping within budget constraints.
· Experience managing a learning disabilities service with a good or outstanding CQC rating.
Training:
You will receive ongoing training and coaching from your manager, as well as specific training courses throughout the year to help you develop your management skills and foster upwards career progression. Support will be provided for you to gain your Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

The role:
The successful applicant will handle a caseload of pre and post-litigated claims brought primarily under Sections 9a and 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Focusing on all aspects of housing disrepair claims, you will handle cases from inception to conclusion, complying with the Pre Action-Protocol for Housing Conditions.
Key tasks:
- Run a caseload of pre- and post-litigation housing conditions claims on behalf of tenants
- Comply with Pre Action-Protocol for Housing Disrepair Claims
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Landlord & Tenant Act
- Draft Letters of Claim
- Collation of special damages
- Review housing records to assess liability
- Review surveyors reports Claimant and Defendant
- Negotiation and settlement
- Mediation
- Liaise with counsel
- Issue Court Proceedings
- Use Proclaim (claims management software) competently and effectively, ensuing that business process and policy is adhered to
- Communicate effectively with clients

The successful applicant:
Our team structure means that we can support applicants with varying degrees of prior experience and have successfully supported several staff who have re-trained from fast paced litigation backgrounds such as personal injury.
Successful candidates will be confident communicators with a high level of written and verbal skills and good attention to detail. You must be well organised and able to work in a busy environment with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight timescales.
It is preferable that candidates be educated to degree level, and those applying for more senior fee earning roles may possess FILEX, ILEX qualifications or similar experience.
Experience:
- Housing Disrepair experience essential, we would also consider applicants with significant (10 years plus) contentious civil litigation experience
- Able to bill work at Grade B or above
- Case Management System (Proclaim is used) experience is a must to be able to handle volume litigation
- Demonstrable experience of being able to work at pace, with ability to manage competing priorities within own caseload
- Have experience of litigating own matters
