We are looking for a SolidWorks Designer to work on a permanent basis in Chesterfield.
This would suit either a fresh Automotive/Mechanical Engineering Graduate or an experiences Designer/Design Engineer with Automotive experience.
Salary is c£27-42,000 per annum plus holidays, pension etc.
SolidWorks Designer/Graduate Engineer role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will manage new projects from assessing and validating customer requirements through the design stages to creating and issuing detail design drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets. You will support the procurement function with supplier selection, technical specifications and where necessary or required generating purchase orders. Once the project reaches the production stage you will support the manufacturing departments to ensure a smooth and effective completion of the build.
For new product design and ongoing product improvement you will be contributing towards the design activities as part of a cross functional design team in order to continually upgrade and improve the range of standard product designs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project assessment and review of customer requirements including technical support for sales
Project design to ensure customer requirements are converted into effective design solutions
Creation of bills of materials including standard and non-standard parts
Supporting Procurement activities with technical input
Creation of purchase orders
Supporting manufacturing activities throughout the build
Provide input and contribute to standard product and parts design programme
The role will require day to day liaison with internal and external contacts including sales, planning, procurement, manufacturing together with customers and suppliers.

The Role:
The Business Development Manager is a key part of the Sales and Marketing Team with the responsibility to will win new SaaS business by effectively guiding potential customers through the sales process. This will involve a consultative sales process, encompassing qualifying leads and gathering requirements, completing tender responses, pre-sales demonstration activities, producing effective sales proposals and presentations, and commercial negotiation.
The successful applicant will be self-motivated and must be capable of generating new leads as well as developing pre-qualified leads.
Responsibilities:
* Show a clear understanding of the products and be able to demonstrate them and articulate their benefits to potential customers
* Deliver webinars to introduce the company to potential customers and educate on intranet concepts
* Nurture leads and build relationships with potential customers to establish trust and rapport
* Identify sales opportunities via tender notifications and external tools such as ZoomInfo and LinkedIn
* Work closely with marketing colleagues to implement initiatives to create new leads
Essential skills and experience:
* Previous software sales experience is essential, along with some formal sales training.
* Proven track record of securing new B2B customers
* Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
* Demonstrate understanding of a consultative sales process
* Excellent presentation skills and confidence to deliver webinars and events
* Excellent written communication skills and ability to create compelling business proposals
* Willingness to travel and full driving licence
* Well organised and diligent
* CRM system experience
* Strong IT skills and technical understanding
* Graduate level with at least 2 years B2B sales experience
