Commercial Graduate Engineer required for a highly successful global manufacturing business based in Skelmersdale.
As the Commercial Graduate Engineer you will evaluate technical enquiries from customers and liaise with key internal functions Engineering, Project Management, Procurement and Operations, in order to develop best in class solutions and generate winning technical commercial bids for our customers.
Responsibilities as the Commercial Graduate Engineer will include:
Ensuring customer satisfaction is of primary focus through ‘best in class’ levels of service.
Nurturing existing customer relationships to ensure maintenance and growth of business.
Clearly understanding customers' strategies, business plans, buying behaviours and needs.
To assist, as requested, other sales personnel and business groups according to the needs of the business.
The successful and timely delivery of all work allocated by your manager.
Understanding the ever-changing customer / market needs and adapting our offerings to differentiate us from the competition.
Identifying ‘cost out’ opportunities through changes in practices and improved efficiencies.
Developing smarter and lean ways of working.
Maintaining and updating sales pipeline details.
Ensuring adherence to all company policies and prevailing business regulations.
To work in accordance with the Company’s standard operating procedures complying with our requirements to meet and exceed the international quality standard BS EN ISO 9001.
Your main duties as the Commercial Graduate Engineer will include:
Receive sales enquiries and translating same into sales quotations with support as required.
Maintaining complete records of your sales funnel.
Travel within the United Kingdom and overseas as required.
Assist with the preparation of and attend at trade exhibitions as required.
Conduct careful contract review of incoming sales orders ensuring full compliance with the tender/proposal. To document such orders into works orders with all associated details.
Liaising with purchasing in respect of outsourced components and products to obtain accurate costings. To assist in the compilation of costings and spreadsheets.
Liaising with technical, manufacturing and project departments in respect of lead times.
The successful Commercial Graduate Engineer will need the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

The Role of the Associate Territory Manager:
