GENERAL SUMMARY Drive tractor-trailer unit to make deliveries and pick-ups of finished products, empty drums, etc. Perform truck safety inspection prior to each trip checking motor, brakes, lights, and tires for proper operation conditions. Check and assist in loading and/or unloading trailers. Obtain proper authorizations for all deliveries and pick-ups. Maintain accurate DOT driver log of required information.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist with loading trailer according to bills of lading. Trailer should be loaded in order that best accommodates stops Check truck according to "Driver's Daily Check List" making necessary adjustments and corrections before leaving. Deliver material to customer's location Assist in unloading at customer site if required and have customer sign proper acknowledgement of delivery Pick up empty drums as instructed Unload empty drums upon return to plant Complete DOT driver log sheets Return completed shipping paperwork to shipping office Notify supervisor of and schedule truck repair and maintenance as necessary

Previous warehouse or operational experience within a GMP, COMAH, or similarly regulated environment
Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in date)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform numerous and varied duties which include packaging materials, filling 5 and 55 gal containers, drums, pails; palletizing; securing skids for transport. Required to visually inspect articles for proper specifications (code dates, quality of boxes) and notify the Supervisor when those specifications are not met
May be required to package materials, attach label, or carton and identification of package or container. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. May be assigned other duties when necessary.
Ability to read and change tank readings on compounding board.
Ability to keep records of skid counts for forklift driver.
Exposure to finished goods materials (flammable and non-flammable). Requires personal protective equipment (i.e., flame resistant uniform, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, aprons, and face shield).
The ability to see, read, distinguish letters and/or symbolsAbility to follow directionsAbility to perform job duties in accordance with established safety rules.
Candidates must be able to work daily and weekend overtime as needed
